Thank you for signing up with TEL Library. This Privacy Policy describes how TEL Library protects your privacy when you use our Site.

A. Effective Date
This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 1st 2018.

B. Our Privacy Policy
TEL Library respects the privacy of each of our users. With the exception of unusual circumstances, we will not share your personal information more than is necessary to deliver our services. The term “Personal Information” refers to information that identifies you personally, alone or in combination with other information available to us.
The terms “TEL,” “TEL Library,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to TEL Library.
References to “Site” refer to the website owned by TEL Library and located at tellibrary.org.

Information you knowingly and voluntarily provide when using the TEL Library Site. The information we collect depends on how you use this Site, but, in many cases, it is for personal identification. For example, if you sign up for your library card, we collect the information you provide on the registration form, such as your name and email address. Likewise, we collect the information you provide when you contact us with questions or comments. If you post User Generated Content, such as essay questions or papers, on or through this Site, we collect that information as well. In general, TEL Library uses the Personal Information you volunteer to provide the information, services, and products you request. We may also use your contact information to follow up with you after you have expressed an interest in this Site or in one of our lessons, courses, programs, products, or services. Finally, we may use the Personal Information collected through the Site to improve our lessons, courses, programs, products, or services; to improve the content, functionality, navigation, and usability of our Site; to better understand your needs and interests; and to better market our programs, services, and products. We may also remove all the personally identifiable information and use the rest for historical, statistical, or scientific purposes.

We use “cookies” on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. TEL Library may share Personal Information collected through our Site with companies and organizations that perform certain functions on our behalf. TEL Library does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through this Site. We strive to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Personal Information in our databases. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

TEL Library retains the Personal Information collected on this Site as long as necessary to provide the services, products, and information you request or as permitted by applicable law. Our servers are located in the United States. While it is in our possession, your Personal Information will generally be stored in TEL Library databases or databases maintained by our service providers. Most, if not all, of these databases are stored on servers and storage devices located in the United States. All records pertaining to completed courses will be maintained for a minimum of 5 years for transcripting purposes.

IV. Information for Visitors Accessing this Site from Outside the United States
TEL Library is a U.S. nonprofit headquartered in the United States. This Site is currently hosted on servers located in the United States, although we reserve the right to relocate this Site to other servers elsewhere in the world. Your Personal Information may be stored on servers located within the United States or in another country. In addition, we may transfer your Personal Information to our service providers and others located in the United States or another country for the purposes described in this Policy. Different countries have different privacy laws and requirements, and some provide less legal protection for your Personal Information than others. TEL Library is a U.S. nonprofit based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The servers that support this Site are located in the United States of America. This Policy shall be governed under the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States of America, without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.
