Vance Fried founded TEL Education with a bold mission: to make high-quality education available anytime, anywhere, to anyone. With a career spanning higher education, research, and entrepreneurship, he has worked to redefine accessibility in learning.

Before launching TEL, Vance was a professor at Oklahoma State University, holding endowed positions in Entrepreneurship and Management. His expertise in education entrepreneurship, venture capital, and scalable learning models shaped TEL’s vision. He is also the author of Better/Cheaper College and a recognized leader in K-12 and higher education innovation. Vance holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan, completed post-doctoral work in Strategic Management at OSU, and is a CPA.

Fred Dohmann brings a business-driven approach to education access, leading TEL Education with a focus on growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion. With decades of executive leadership experience, Fred understands how to align vision with execution to deliver sustainable, high-impact solutions.

Before joining TEL, he guided multiple organizations through high-growth phases, including serving as President & CEO of Advanced Aromatics, where he successfully navigated a complex acquisition. His expertise in organizational transformation and business development ensures TEL remains a leader in scalable dual credit and college learning solutions. Fred has a BSChE from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, with the focus of his master’s work in statistics. He holds an advanced W. Edwards Deming certification.

Reggie Cook is an accomplished financial and administrative executive with extensive leadership experience across multiple industries. As TEL’s CFO, he ensures fiscal sustainability, operational efficiency, and strategic investment to support long-term growth.

Before joining TEL, Reggie was Vice President and Controller of a billion dollar public company and has held numerous CFO and CAO roles across both large public corporations and smaller private firms. After a long and successful career, he now brings his expertise to TEL because he believes in its mission and the lasting impact of expanding affordable access to education.

Dr. Michele Haynes is shaping the future of online education. As VP of Academics at TEL, she leads curriculum design, faculty engagement, and academic innovation, ensuring students and institutions receive high-quality, flexible learning solutions.

With deep experience in instructional design and digital learning, Michele previously led the development of 19+ online degrees and faculty training programs at the University of Oklahoma. Her work bridges academic rigor with accessibility, making TEL’s courses engaging, effective, and widely transferable.

Michele holds a Master’s in Higher Education from Abilene Christian University and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

For more than 20 years, Tyler Holland has helped students reach their full potential. He has worked in classrooms, on campuses, and behind the scenes, gaining a deep understanding of how institutions operate and what students need to succeed.

As VP of Outreach & Partnerships at TEL, Tyler collaborates with schools and colleges to expand access to dual credit and general education solutions, helping institutions grow while creating more opportunities for students. His ability to align TEL’s offerings with the needs of educators, administrators, and decision-makers makes him a key force behind TEL’s expanding reach.

Tyler holds a Master’s in Education: Adult & Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Central Oklahoma.

A great education experience goes beyond course content—it’s about clarity, ease, and meaningful support. As VP of Customer Business Development at TEL, Russ Pickett ensures institutions and students get the most from TEL’s learning solutions through a seamless, well-supported experience.

With a background in institutional support, student engagement, and coaching, Russ understands how to motivate, guide, and equip both students and educators for success. His experience in college athletics and personal coaching has shaped his approach to building strong support systems, fostering collaboration, and ensuring every student and institution feels confident using TEL’s platform.

Russ holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Southern Arkansas University.

Ashlee Garrett has focused her career on designing learning experiences that stick. As Director of Instructional Services at TEL, she leads instructional teams in implementing evidence-based practices, guiding strategic innovation in course delivery, and improving outcomes for diverse learners through collaborative, data-informed approaches.

Ashlee holds a Master of Education in Instructional Design and a Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics, both from Western Governors University.

Elana Marks is passionate about digital learning that works. As Director of Online Learning at TEL, she develops and optimizes engaging, accessible course experiences that support students wherever they are in their education journey.

With 13 years of experience in curriculum development, project management, and educational technology, Elana has led initiatives in special education, writing instruction, and technology integration. Her work ensures TEL’s courses are not just effective, but truly student-centered.

Tom Miller has spent his career removing barriers to higher education. As Director of Dual Enrollment Programs at TEL, he helps institutions expand access to affordable, flexible college credit, ensuring students can graduate ahead, not behind.

With 30+ years in public education, Tom has worked across K-12 and online learning, developing innovative dual credit initiatives. His expertise in program design and implementation ensures that TEL’s offerings seamlessly integrate into existing school models, creating real opportunities for students.

Rose Carselowey began her career at TEL and has played a key role in shaping the partner experience ever since. As Senior Account Manager, she ensures that schools and institutions receive the support, insight, and resources they need to maximize TEL’s learning solutions.

With experience in student support, curriculum design, and operations, Rose has helped refine TEL’s account management processes, making partnerships seamless and efficient. She is committed to building strong relationships with TEL’s education partners, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.

Technology should enhance learning, not complicate it. As Director of Technology Support & Operations at TEL, Nick Treadway ensures that TEL’s digital infrastructure runs seamlessly, providing students and institutions with a frictionless online experience.

From platform development to technical operations, Nick’s expertise in support systems, team leadership, and process improvements helps TEL maintain a world-class learning environment.

Great support isn’t reactive—it’s proactive. As Director of Support at TEL, Ethan Sweezy ensures that students, families, and institutions receive top-tier assistance, making TEL’s learning experience seamless and frustration-free.

Having started as a Support Specialist, Ethan quickly rose to lead TEL’s support operations, ticketing systems, and workflow efficiencies. His commitment to problem-solving and customer success helps TEL continue to deliver an exceptional education experience.
