Fred Dohmann, CEO.

Fred is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in leadership throughout his career.  Fred brings extensive experience in Profit and Loss Management, with a focus on Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Business Development. His leadership style is marked by a commitment to driving organizational growth and fostering excellence across diverse business functions.  Fred’s history of delivering results and steering companies is exemplified through his tenure as President/CEO of Advanced Aromatics. During this period he successfully navigated the company through a $42 million trade sale, showcasing his strategic acumen, negotiating skills, and business tenacity.  Fred Dohmann is a dynamic leader shaping the future of the organizations he leads.

Dr. Vance Fried, Executive Chairman & Founder.

Fried founded TEL with a mission of making quality education available to anyone, anywhere, & anytime.  Before TEL, he was a professor at Oklahoma State University, holding endowed positions in both Entrepreneurship and Management. His research focused on education entrepreneurship, growth company management, and venture capital.  He is the author of Better/Cheaper College, as well as an expert on K-12 delivery systems and their costs.  At Oklahoma State he taught numerous online and hybrid classes.   Fried has also worked as a growth company executive and attorney.

Tyler Holland, Vice-President, Outreach & Partnerships.

Tyler is a dynamic leader with a multifaceted sales, academia, and athletics background. Having previously served as the Regional Sales Manager at TEL, Tyler seamlessly transitioned into his role as Vice President of Outreach & Partnerships. His journey includes a pivotal tenure in higher education and K-12, serving as the Director of Academic Services for Athletes,  Assistant Football Coach/Recruiter at the University of Central Oklahoma, and Secondary Educator. Tyler’s strategic vision and passion for building meaningful partnerships have been crucial in his successful career. Whether driving sales initiatives or fostering academic support for athletes, he brings a unique blend of skills to his leadership role. He continues to significantly contribute to education, athletics, and business, exemplifying a commitment to excellence and innovation in all his endeavors.

Tyler holds a Masters in Education: Adult & Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts: History from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Dr. Michele Haynes, Vice-President, Instruction & Curriculum.

Michele is a visionary leader in the field of online curriculum and instructional design, currently serving as the Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction at TEL Education. With a rich background in online teaching and learning, academic technologies, instructional design, and faculty leadership, Michele has significantly contributed to the evolution of online education in Oklahoma. During her tenure at the University of Oklahoma, Michele led the charge in overseeing the development and revision of 19 online degrees and certificates, faculty training experiences, and virtual conferences, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and innovation. Michele has a passion for teaching and developing innovative online learning experiences, and she has taught online courses for Abilene Christian University and the University of Oklahoma for over 14 years. Her goals for online teaching and learning are to create inclusive, well-designed courses where students can feel connected and empowered to explore their own learning processes.

Michele holds a M.A. In Higher Education from Abilene Christian University and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Russ Pickett, Vice-President, Support Services.

Russ is a versatile leader with a rich background in support services, business coaching, and college athletics. Currently serving as the Vice President of Support Services, Russ’s leadership extends across various domains. His experience as a Business Coach for Southwind Management, a $100 million+ home services provider with a widespread presence, has been marked by strategic insights and operational excellence across 25 locations nationally.In addition to his corporate role, Russ served as the Outreach Director at TEL, showcasing his commitment to driving outreach initiatives and building meaningful connections. Russ has played a pivotal role as the Assistant Head Coach at the University of Central Oklahoma, contributing to the development of both players and teams. Russ Pickett’s leadership journey is characterized by a dynamic blend of business acumen, coaching prowess, and a passion for outreach, making him a valuable asset in driving success across diverse domains. Russ holds a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Southern Arkansas University.

Reggie Cook, Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.

Reggie is a seasoned financial executive and administrative leader with a wealth of experience in driving fiscal success across diverse industries. As the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, Reggie brings a robust background in finance to the leadership team. Previously, Reggie served as the Vice President and Controller of a $1 billion public energy company, where his financial acumen played a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of the energy sector. His leadership extends to the role of CFO in small companies within the health care and building products sectors, showcasing his versatility in managing financial strategies across different scales. Reggie has also held the positions of CFO/CAO for multiple business units within a NYSE-listed diversified energy company, contributing to the strategic financial oversight of a large and complex organization. His career reflects a commitment to excellence in financial management and a track record of steering organizations toward sustainable growth.

Jennifer Gatlin, Director of Instructional Services.

Jennifer is a seasoned professional with a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, bringing over two decades of dedicated experience in higher education to her leadership role. With a specialized focus on undergraduate student services, Jennifer has made significant contributions to various facets of academic support. Her expertise spans Admissions, Advising, Student and Faculty Support Services, as well as Curriculum Development and Instructional Design. Jennifer’s commitment to fostering a holistic and supportive educational environment has positively impacted the academic journeys of countless students.In addition to her rich background in student services, Jennifer boasts a decade of experience in online instruction within higher education. Her proficiency in online education aligns with the evolving landscape of modern learning, reflecting a dedication to providing quality education in a dynamic and accessible format.

Elana Marks, Curriculum Lead.

Elana is a highly experienced education professional with 13 years of diverse expertise in curriculum development, project management, and educational technology. She has successfully created and implemented ELA and Writing curricula for grades 6-12, including specialized programs for students with learning differences. Elana’s leadership extends to roles as a general educator, special education case manager, and an educational technology coach. As an edtech coach she introduced technology enhancements and conducted professional development sessions for her staff. With a commitment to continual learning, Elana holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education and relevant certifications. She remains dedicated to creating dynamic learning experiences for students and supporting fellow educators in their professional growth.

Tom Miller, Director of Dual Enrollment Programs.

Tom is a dedicated professional serving as a Dual Credit/Online Learning Specialist at Alief Independent School District. Armed with a Master’s in Education from the University of Texas-Permian Basin and over thirty years of public education experience, Tom is passionate about advancing educational opportunities for students. With a keen focus on dual credit and online learning, Tom has become a pivotal figure in shaping innovative educational initiatives at Alief ISD. His expertise lies in developing and implementing programs that bridge traditional and online learning, creating dynamic opportunities for students to excel in their academic pursuits. Tom’s commitment to education is underscored by his continuous efforts to enhance learning experiences and expand access to dual credit programs. His leadership in the realm of online learning reflects a forward-thinking approach that aligns with the evolving landscape of modern education.
